Paid attention is a treadmill. You pay for the click, the click leaves, and Monday you pay again. The spend never stops because the asset was never yours.

A branded object that sits on a desk for twenty years is the opposite arrangement. One cost, then two decades of quiet impressions, every morning, from something the recipient chose to keep. No vendor can switch it off and no algorithm can bury it.

**The move:** shift a slice of the attention budget out of the feed and into something physical that lands in the right person's world. The math is not close over any real time horizon.

The mistake this fixes: renting eyeballs forever when you could own a relationship that says your name every day without being asked.

## The takeaway

Rented attention stops when you stop paying. A desk relationship keeps working.
