DAZN closed its acquisition of EverPass Media, the distributor that controls NFL Sunday Ticket rights for commercial establishments across the United States. The transaction puts DAZN inside 35,000 bars, restaurants, and hotels that pay to stream out-of-market Sunday games—a different customer base than YouTube's $349-per-season consumer product.
EverPass holds the commercial distribution rights through a separate agreement with the NFL. When the league moved consumer Sunday Ticket to YouTube in 2023 for $2 billion annually, it carved out the commercial side. EverPass packages those rights with other sports content and sells subscriptions to venues at prices that scale with capacity and location. A 200-seat sports bar in a major market pays low five figures annually. DAZN now owns that revenue stream and the billing relationships.
The deal gives DAZN two things it lacked: a foothold in the U.S. commercial market and a way to demonstrate scale to leagues negotiating next-cycle rights. DAZN operates in 200 countries but has struggled to break through in the U.S. beyond niche boxing pay-per-views. Owning the venue distribution for the NFL's most premium out-of-market product puts DAZN representatives in front of 35,000 business owners who already pay for sports content. The company can now cross-sell its other rights—Serie A, Ligue 1, women's soccer—into the same accounts. For a league like MLS or a conference exploring direct-to-consumer models, DAZN can now pitch both consumer streaming and guaranteed commercial placement in one conversation.
EverPass also operates a broader platform called EverPass Sports, which bundles multiple sports subscriptions for commercial accounts. Venues can manage UFC pay-per-views, regional sports networks, and Sunday Ticket through one interface. DAZN inherits that infrastructure. The company has been building a B2B sports streaming platform in Europe; this accelerates the U.S. version by 18 months, according to two people familiar with the integration timeline.
The transaction came together quickly. DAZN approached EverPass in late 2024 after missing out on a bid for certain international Premier League rights. The NFL was informed but not involved in negotiations. EverPass founder Will Ferrell—not the actor—stays on to run the commercial division under DAZN's Americas structure. His team of 120 people remains in Nashville.
What matters for team operators: if you run a venue partnership program, your contact for Sunday Ticket just changed hands. DAZN has been aggressive in Europe about bundling sponsor activations with venue packages. Expect similar pitches in the U.S.—your kit sponsor's logo on DAZN's venue portal, or your front office selling co-branded watch-party packages. One NBA team has already taken the call.
For rights holders, this repositions DAZN as a credible bidder for U.S. packages that include commercial components. The company now has billing infrastructure, sales relationships, and proof it can manage both consumer and venue economics. When the NFL's next round of negotiations opens in 2028, DAZN can argue it already serves a segment of the Sunday Ticket audience.
The quiet part: DAZN bought optionality. If YouTube's consumer Sunday Ticket underperforms—and early churn numbers suggest it might—the NFL will want to know who else can handle the product. DAZN now sits at that table.
EverPass employees received equity in DAZN as part of the transaction, according to one person who saw the term sheet. The total consideration was not disclosed, but EverPass was generating mid-eight figures in annual revenue before the sale. DAZN is backed by billionaire Len Blavatnik's Access Industries, which has put more than $8 billion into the company since 2016. Blavatnik has been pushing for a U.S. breakthrough; this is the first acquisition that delivers recurring U.S. revenue at scale.
Watch for DAZN to start pitching leagues on hybrid consumer-commercial packages in the next rights cycle. The NBA's local rights are fragmenting; several teams will explore direct-to-consumer options when their RSN deals expire in 2025 and 2026. DAZN can now offer those teams a consumer app and guaranteed placement in 35,000 venues. MLS and NWSL are also in-market for partners who can manage both.
The first cross-sell meeting is already scheduled. DAZN is pitching EverPass venues on a discounted bundle that includes Sunday Ticket and its boxing pay-per-view catalog. The offer goes out in April, ahead of the May 3 Canelo Álvarez fight.
The takeaway
DAZN bought the commercial NFL Sunday Ticket pipe—**35,000** venues—and can now pitch leagues on bundled consumer and venue deals.

Your next customer won't visit your website. Their AI will.
AI assistants have quietly taken over the first step of buying — they answer from catalogs they can read and shortlist whoever can actually ship. Two questions now decide whether you exist to that buyer: can a machine read your catalog, and can you fulfill the order. Most brands fail one or both and never find out why the orders went elsewhere. The winners of this shift aren't the loudest. They're the most readable. Build for the machine that's about to do the shopping.
Built by the craft floor — apparel, media, packaging, and secure print.
This trade runs on hands, not desks. Imprint manufacturing & Komori Press · Canon high-speed secure-media operations is a craft floor — genuine Six Sigma discipline applied to ink, thread, foil, and registration, where a hundredth of an inch is the difference between a brand that reads serious and one that reads cheap. POPS4 is built by exactly those operators: independent, boots-on-the-ground engineers who carry their own book, read a client in microseconds, and put their name on every run. Beyond our own Virginia Beach floor, we work with a vetted network of craft manufacturers across the US — each meeting the highest excellence in QC standards in the industry, each a specialist in its own discipline — so apparel, hard-goods imprinting, media manufacturing, packaging, and secure printing all go to the bench built for them, coordinated from one accountable hub.
