Accenture Song acquired Superdigital, a New York-based influencer and social marketing agency, for undisclosed terms Tuesday. The deal marks the third influencer-focused acquisition by a holding company consulting arm since Q3 2023, following WPP's acquisition of Goat Agency in October 2023 and Publicis Groupe's purchase of Influential in May 2024 for a reported $500 million.
Superdigital, founded in 2013, operates across community management, short-form video production, and influencer campaign infrastructure for consumer brands. The agency employs approximately 120 staff across New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, with clients spanning beauty, consumer packaged goods, and hospitality verticals. Accenture declined to disclose revenue figures or integration timelines. The firm confirmed Superdigital's leadership team, including co-founders Drum Hashim and Dan Nissan, will remain in place under the Accenture Song structure.
The move surfaces a structural shift inside holding companies. Traditional creative agencies struggled to build influencer capabilities organically—creator relationships don't scale through RFPs, and compensation models clash with legacy media-buying economics. Consultancies bypassed the build phase entirely. Accenture Song now controls end-to-end infrastructure: brand strategy through legacy consulting, creative execution through acquisitions like Droga5, and distribution through Superdigital's creator network. The arbitrage is vertical integration at holding-company scale, where traditional agencies still operate horizontal service lines.
For luxury and premium hospitality operators, the signal is procurement velocity. A Chief Marketing Officer at a heritage house can now contract Accenture for brand positioning, creative, media, and influencer activation under a single master services agreement. That condensed vendor stack reduces coordination drag but concentrates risk. If Accenture's influencer recommendations underperform, there's no competing agency to pressure-test strategy. Single-family offices allocating to hospitality development should note: the marketing services their operating companies buy are consolidating faster than the hotel flags themselves.
Watch three follow-on moves in the next six to nine months. First, whether Accenture integrates Superdigital's creator roster into its Commerce Cloud clients—if a CPG brand can buy influencer media through the same platform that manages its Shopify backend, that's a wedge traditional agencies can't match. Second, whether WPP or Publicis counter with acquisitions in experiential or live events, the remaining white space in creator infrastructure. Third, whether Accenture Song begins offering creator equity partnerships as part of campaign packages, a model Influential tested in 2023 with mixed results but significant attention from private equity.
The deal closed with Superdigital's existing client contracts intact and no disclosed earn-out structure, suggesting Accenture priced for platform access rather than revenue multiples.
The takeaway
Consulting firms are buying influencer infrastructure faster than agencies can build it, collapsing marketing procurement into single-vendor stacks.

Your next customer won't visit your website. Their AI will.
AI assistants have quietly taken over the first step of buying — they answer from catalogs they can read and shortlist whoever can actually ship. Two questions now decide whether you exist to that buyer: can a machine read your catalog, and can you fulfill the order. Most brands fail one or both and never find out why the orders went elsewhere. The winners of this shift aren't the loudest. They're the most readable. Build for the machine that's about to do the shopping.
