Aman Resorts is opening four properties within six months, a pace the brand has not attempted since its founding four decades ago. The slate includes New York City in August, a 2,400-acre ranch in West Texas scheduled for November, Amanvari on Mexico's Pacific coast in early 2025, and a working farm resort in rural Japan next month. Three of the four break with Aman's established model of secluded wilderness retreats.
The New York property marks Aman's first U.S. opening since 2018 and its first urban insertion. The brand is installing residences and hotel inventory inside the Crown Building on Fifth Avenue, a 1921 Beaux-Arts tower steps from Central Park. Beverly Hills follows in 2026. The Texas ranch, unnamed in the announcement, is described as a high-desert property with guest casitas and equestrian programming. Amanvari, on a cliffside site north of Puerto Vallarta, will hold 30 suites and private villas. The Japan farm resort comes from Adrian Zecha, Aman's founder, now operating independently under the Azumi banner after exiting Aman in 2017.
The velocity matters because Aman historically opens one or two properties per year. The brand runs 34 resorts across 20 countries, built over 36 years. This four-property window compresses what used to take 24 months into six. It also signals a bet on urban adjacency. For decades, Aman commanded $1,500 to $8,000 per night by being definitionally remote—Bhutan valleys, Indonesian temples, Utah desert. The New York and Beverly Hills moves suggest the thesis now extends to scarcity of access within cities, not just scarcity of coordinates.
Single-family offices and heritage hospitality groups should note the branded-residence component. Aman New York includes private residences above the hotel floors, a structure the brand has tested in Tokyo and Miami but never in a primary U.S. gateway. If the Fifth Avenue execution holds occupancy above 85% in year one, expect Aman to accelerate urban residential overlays in London, Paris, and Hong Kong by 2027. The underwriting depends on whether the brand's wellness and discretion premium translates when guests can reach the property by subway.
Watch for two follow-on events. First, whether Aman's parent company, Vladislav Doronin's Aman Group, files for a U.S. hospitality REIT or raises a dedicated development fund by mid-2025. The capital structure behind four simultaneous builds has not been disclosed, but the brand's previous reliance on single-asset partnerships does not support this tempo without a pooled vehicle. Second, track Zecha's Azumi brand as a parallel indicator. If his Japan farm resort at $600 per night undercuts Aman's typical $1,200 floor and still holds 90% occupancy, it suggests the market will tolerate Aman-grade service at a lower price, pressuring the mothership's margin assumptions.
Aman's next 18 months will clarify whether ultra-luxury hospitality can industrialize deployment without eroding the scarcity that justifies the rate.
The takeaway
Aman's four openings in six months test whether urban inventory and faster deployment preserve the brand's scarcity premium at $1,500+ per night.

Your next customer won't visit your website. Their AI will.
AI assistants have quietly taken over the first step of buying — they answer from catalogs they can read and shortlist whoever can actually ship. Two questions now decide whether you exist to that buyer: can a machine read your catalog, and can you fulfill the order. Most brands fail one or both and never find out why the orders went elsewhere. The winners of this shift aren't the loudest. They're the most readable. Build for the machine that's about to do the shopping.
Built by the craft floor — apparel, media, packaging, and secure print.
This trade runs on hands, not desks. Imprint manufacturing & Komori heritage press through approved vendors · Canon high-speed secure-media operations is a craft floor — genuine Six Sigma discipline applied to ink, thread, foil, and registration, where a hundredth of an inch is the difference between a brand that reads serious and one that reads cheap. POPS4 is built by exactly those operators: independent, boots-on-the-ground engineers who carry their own book, read a client in microseconds, and put their name on every run. Beyond our own Virginia Beach floor, we work with a vetted network of craft manufacturers across the US — each meeting the highest excellence in QC standards in the industry, each a specialist in its own discipline — so apparel, hard-goods imprinting, media manufacturing, packaging, and secure printing all go to the bench built for them, coordinated from one accountable hub.
