Ari Emanuel's live events and experiences holding company MARI has acquired a majority stake in Bucket Listers, an event-focused marketing firm founded in 2018. Financial terms were not disclosed. The move adds experiential design and brand-activation capability to MARI's existing portfolio, which includes ownership positions in Professional Bull Riders, Miami Grand Prix operations, and a pending $21.4 billion TKO Group Holdings merger that consolidates UFC and WWE under one roof.
Bucket Listers has built a client roster spanning consumer brands, professional sports properties, and high-net-worth lifestyle platforms. The firm designs and executes on-site experiences—VIP hospitality zones, sponsor activations, talent integrations—at events where presence alone no longer justifies the cost. Emanuel's thesis: live events are the last zero-skip advertising environment, and the companies that control both the venue economics and the activation layer will capture the majority of brand spend as linear media continues its structural decline.
The acquisition reflects a pattern visible across Emanuel's post-Endeavor moves. MARI has systematically acquired firms that either own live event IP outright or control the operational layer brands must navigate to reach audiences in person. Bucket Listers fits the second category. It does not own events, but it owns the relationships and production capability that allow Fortune 500 marketing teams to execute at scale without building internal live-event divisions. That capability becomes more valuable as luxury and premium consumer brands shift budgets from digital impressions to in-real-life engagement, particularly among audiences aged 30 to 55 with household incomes above $250,000.
For allocators, the signal is Emanuel's continued consolidation of the live-events supply chain at a moment when institutional capital remains skittish about experiential marketing's unit economics. MARI is not buying revenue multiples; it is buying optionality in a category where the largest buyers—luxury automotive, spirits, financial services, travel—are still discovering what they are willing to pay for verified, zero-fraud attention. The company that controls the most efficient path between a brand's budget and a room full of qualified buyers will set pricing. Emanuel is building that path.
Operators and allocators should watch three developments over the next 8 to 12 months. First, whether MARI integrates Bucket Listers into its TKO properties—UFC and WWE events are high-frequency, high-attendance environments where luxury brands already test activations. Second, whether the firm begins packaging multi-property sponsorship deals that bundle venue access, creative production, and measurement, effectively becoming a holding company for live-event media buys. Third, whether private equity-backed event-production firms, which have proliferated since 2021, begin consolidating in response to a more competitive landscape.
Emanuel has spent 18 months building a portfolio that does not depend on any single event format or audience demographic. Bucket Listers adds the connective tissue between the assets MARI owns and the brands that need to reach the people who attend them.
