Ari Emanuel's live-events holding company MARI acquired a majority stake in Bucket Listers, a boutique event-marketing firm founded in 2018. No purchase price disclosed. The deal adds experiential-production capacity to a portfolio that already includes On Location, the official hospitality provider for Super Bowl, NCAA, and U.S. Open Tennis.
Bucket Listers specializes in "money-can't-buy" brand activations—celebrity meet-and-greets, VIP festival access, product-launch stunts. The firm has worked with undisclosed Fortune 500 clients since inception. MARI's thesis: luxury consumers now value access over objects, and the firms that control physical-event infrastructure will capture incremental brand spend as social-media CPMs decay. Emanuel founded MARI in 2018, the same year he stepped back from day-to-day operations at William Morris Endeavor.
The move signals two things allocators should note. First, consolidation in experiential marketing is early-innings. Bucket Listers is small—likely under $10 million annual revenue based on team size and client roster—but MARI is buying optionality on a category where no dominant roll-up exists yet. Second, the deal extends MARI's vertical integration from ticketing (On Location) into creative services. That matters because brand budgets for experiential grew 22% year-over-year in luxury and automotive categories, per EventTrack data through Q4 2025, while traditional media buys stayed flat.
What's less clear: whether MARI will keep Bucket Listers independent or bolt it onto On Location's existing VIP-hospitality engine. The hospitality model—selling premium packages at $5,000 to $50,000 per head—has higher margins than creative services, which are labor-intensive and project-based. If Emanuel moves Bucket Listers into the On Location fulfillment stack, that creates a closed loop: MARI clients buy both the creative concept and the execution, reducing vendor fragmentation for CMOs managing eight-figure activation budgets.
Watch for three follow-ons in the next six to twelve months. First, whether MARI announces additional creative-shop acquisitions in the $5 million to $15 million range—firms with automotive, spirits, or watchmaker relationships. Second, if On Location starts offering "turnkey activation packages" bundling creative with hospitality at marquee events. Third, competitor moves: Endeavor (where Emanuel remains a board observer post-exit) and Live Nation both have experiential arms, and neither has made a creative-services acquisition since 2023.
Bucket Listers will keep its name and founding team. MARI now controls stakes in four separate event-related companies, none of which have reported combined revenue. Emanuel's bet remains infrastructure over talent: own the venues, the ticketing rails, and now the agencies that tell brands which experiences to build.
The takeaway
MARI adds creative firepower to its events portfolio, testing whether experiential marketing consolidates like talent agencies did in the 2010s.

Your next customer won't visit your website. Their AI will.
AI assistants have quietly taken over the first step of buying — they answer from catalogs they can read and shortlist whoever can actually ship. Two questions now decide whether you exist to that buyer: can a machine read your catalog, and can you fulfill the order. Most brands fail one or both and never find out why the orders went elsewhere. The winners of this shift aren't the loudest. They're the most readable. Build for the machine that's about to do the shopping.

This trade runs on hands, not desks. Imprint manufacturing & Komori heritage press through approved vendors · Canon high-speed secure-media operations is a craft floor — genuine Six Sigma discipline applied to ink, thread, foil, and registration, where a hundredth of an inch is the difference between a brand that reads serious and one that reads cheap. POPS4 is built by exactly those operators: independent, boots-on-the-ground engineers who carry their own book, read a client in microseconds, and put their name on every run. Beyond our own Virginia Beach floor, we work with a vetted network of craft manufacturers across the US — each meeting the highest excellence in QC standards in the industry, each a specialist in its own discipline — so apparel, hard-goods imprinting, media manufacturing, packaging, and secure printing all go to the bench built for them, coordinated from one accountable hub.
