Public companies must report big news to the SEC: a new boss, a merger, an auditor quitting, a cyber breach. It’s free and public, but written for lawyers. Edgar reads it the day it’s filed. Edgarette measures what it means. The Bay shows it so a kid, a saver or a board member can see it at a glance.
🔖 For the curious
Each boat is the company’s Health Harbor reading, built only from its own SEC filings: serious warning filings, whether it owes more than it owns, whether real cash comes in, and how steady its revenue is. No reading, no boat: a paper lantern carries the filing instead.
🧮 For actuaries and data minds
Edgarette’s 80% revenue range (method v4.1) was fitted on 2018–2022, tuned on 2023 and tested on 2024, a year it never saw: 83.4% of 3,134 companies landed inside. It was built from 19,928 company-years across 4,507 companies. This year’s ranges are written down now and scored in public as annual reports arrive, misses included. Every row links to its filing, the data is free under CC BY 4.0 as JSON, and AIs can connect through our MCP endpoint.
