Imprinting, blank forms and matching your current form
Every stock form ships blank, or imprinted with your static design: digital 4-colour or spot colour, logo, return address, instructions and backers, MICR and consecutive numbering. Short-run imprints are quoted at proof.
Already using pressure seal? Send a blank sample, the static-design PDF, or the part number off the carton. We match size, fold, perforations, stock and imprint to your sealer and your software.
Two ways to run it: forms for your team to image and seal in-house, or the full print, seal and mail service under contract — quoted separately.
How to use pressure seal forms
- Pick the fold and format. Choose Z, eccentric Z, C or V-fold, 11" or 14", check or multi-purpose, simplex or duplex. Simplex (one side) runs faster and costs fewer printer clicks; duplex gives more room for variable information.
- Store and acclimate the forms. Keep forms sealed in their original carton wrap so the paper holds its moisture. Let them sit in the print room for at least 48 hours before imaging. Return partial reams to the carton bag.
- Image on a laser printer. Print your variable data with toner. The heat and pressure inside a laser printer do not activate the cohesive - it only bonds to itself under very high pressure.
- Relax the curl. After imaging, stack the forms curl side down to take out any curl from the printer.
- Fold and seal the same day. Run the imaged forms through a pressure seal folder/sealer the day they are printed. The rollers apply high pressure, the cohesive patterns meet, and the form seals.
- Check the seal. A good seal shows a fiber-tear bond when opened. The cohesive patterns should line up after folding and the fold perforations should stay in registration from form to form.
Heavier stocks (38#, 80# and 100# tag) run only on folder/sealers built for them. Some toner transfers to the sealer rollers - clean them on a schedule; heavy build-up points to poor toner fusing in the printer.

What is a pressure seal form?
A one-sheet self-mailer: the letter and the envelope in one form. It is printed, folded and sealed under high pressure on a folder/sealer - no envelope and no inserting. Also called a pressure seal self-mailer, fold-and-seal form, cohesive self-mailer or PS form.
How much do pressure seal forms cost?
Stock forms start from about $93 per 1,000 at the 25M-50M band, and are priced in three volume bands: 1M-4M, 6M-24M and 25M-50M. This page shows every form, our wholesale and your cost per 1,000, and prices a full order in 30 seconds.
Which fold should I use?
Z-fold has three equal panels with the middle panel sealed inside. Eccentric Z-fold has a shorter bottom panel for more printing area. C-fold folds in thirds with windows and finger-pop options. V-fold folds in half for an almost full letter-size printing area. 14-inch (legal) formats add room for stubs and return envelopes.
Can I print pressure seal forms on my own printer?
Yes - on a laser printer. Printer heat and pressure do not activate the cohesive. Keep forms wrapped, acclimate them 48 hours, image them, then fold and seal the same day on a pressure seal folder/sealer.
Do you offer blank, imprinted or full service?
All three. Forms ship blank, or imprinted with your static design (logo, return address, instructions, backers, MICR or consecutive numbering) for your team to image and seal in-house - or we run the full print, seal and mail service under contract.
I already use InfoSeal forms. Can you match them?
Yes. Send a blank sample, a PDF of the static design, or the part number off the carton. We match size, fold, perforations, stock and imprint to your sealer and your software. InfoSeal is a registered trademark of its respective owner.
What paper and weights are used?
Pressure seal needs compatible papers - usually 24# and 28# laser or basic security paper; 100 lb. tag for postcards and FlipTab. Not every folder/sealer handles the heavier stocks.
What is the shelf life?
Normally six months to a year when kept in the carton and interior bag. Forms left open to the air lose sealing performance quickly.
How fast do stock forms ship?
Stock orders ship the same or next business day when received before noon ET, standard ground, about two days to most of the U.S.
